Jus De Citron (Haitian Lemondade)

Jus De Citron (Haitian Lemondade)

Ingredients

  • 4 Lemon Cut in halves
  • 3 Cups Water
  • Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 Tsp Kosher Salt
  • Ice
  • Mint Optional

Instructions

  • Wash and cut the lemon in half.
  • In a pitcher, add squeeze the lemons to release the juices into the pitcher. Then add the water, sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Stir well.
  • Add ice if serving right away or chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve and Enjoy!

Notes

  • If you find the juice to be too sweet, add 1/2 cup water to reduce the sweetness.
  • The mint is optional, but it does bring some freshness to the drink.
