The seasoning for this steak is a simple butter and garlic sauce, which is almost
magical, especially when combined with the medium rare seared steak bites! I usually like to have a side with my meal and to keep things in one skillet I roast some potato wedges until golden, brown and crispy in the same skillet to make it a meal! This is the perfect light meal for busy weeknights!
Garlic Butter Skillet Steak Bites and Potatoes
ingredients
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound potatoes, cut into wedges or bite sized pieces
- 1 pound steak (flank, strip loin, rib eye, etc.)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
directions
- Heat the oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat, add the potatoes and cook until lightly golden brown on all sides, about 15 minutes, before setting aside.
- Add the steak, seasoned with salt and pepper to taste, to the skillet and cook over medium-high heat until lightly golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about a minute.
