Warm Turmeric Cinnamon Milk
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk of your choice, plant-based like almond milk, or dairy milk
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp coconut oil (optional)
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, gently heat milk of your choice with honey and optional coconut oil over medium heat. Stir occasionally and bring to the point where it is almost boiling, with small bubbles forming around the edge of the pan.
- Remove from the heat and whisk in the spices until well blended. Let stand for a few minutes, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer, if desired. Add a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper (to enhance the curcumin in turmeric), stir and enjoy!
