Ingredients
- 2 lb. (900 g, about 4) russet potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 3 Tbsp. oil (olive oil, vegetable oil, etc), divided
- 1 lb. ground beef
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp. Kosher salt (or ½ tsp. regular table salt), divided
- 2 ½ cup (125 g) panko
- 1 Tbsp. butter (if you use unsalted butter, increase the amount of salt)
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup (60 g) all-purpose flour
