Marzipan may sound fancy, but this recipe makes this high-class treat incredibly easy.
The matcha and pistachios are combined to make a smooth, nutty marzipan which is complemented by the decadent dark chocolate shell. These tasty bits are perfect for a sweet treat or a full dessert.
Matcha, Pistachio and Chocolate Marzipan Bars [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 cup ground pistachio nuts
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 bar vegan dark chocolate
Preparation
- Grind the pistachio nuts in a food processor until a flour forms.
- Add the almond flour, sugar, water, and lemon juice and blend the mixture until a solid, sticky ball forms.
- Roll this out into a slender log, wrap it in plastic wrap, and place it in the freezer for at least 20 minutes (ideally 1 hour).
- Take the log out of the freezer and cut it into small squares.
- Now on low heat, melt the chocolate in a saucepan. Then drizzle the chocolate on top of the marzipan and leave it to set in the freezer
