of B vitamins, five grams of fiber per 2-tablespoon serving, with respectable levels of zinc and selenium, as well. Nutritional yeast gives it a cheesy taste, while miso lends an umami flavor. And hemp offers an extra boost in nutrition. Made with only five ingredients, this may be the simplest plant-based “cheese” you’ll ever make!
Garlicky Cheesy Hemp Spread
Ingredients
½ cup nutritional yeast
½ cup hemp seeds
2 ¼ tbsp organic miso (mellow white or chickpea)
¾ tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Add all ingredients to a small food processor and blend until hemp seeds are blended. Alternatively, you can also use an immersion blender or a spoon to mix it all together. Just know that the hemp seeds will still be whole if only using a spoon — and that’s okay!

Spread on top of crackers.
Spread on a sandwich with grilled tempeh, lettuce, tomato and onion.
Add a dollop on top of salad or toss in the Build-Your-Own Salad for a cheesy flavor!
