The weather here is b-e-a-utiful per the usual, and I’m so happy to be away, though if I’m being honest I was having minor separation anxiety when I dropped Layla off at the Dog Stop. ....
These smoked ham and apple skewers are the perfect fall (or anytime, for that matter) snack. First you marinate the apples and pears in coconut oil, coconut sugar and cinnamon before layering them on the skewers with Boar’s Head SmokeMaster™ Forest Ham.

Serves: 6 skewers
INGREDIENTS
- 6 slices of Boar's Head SmokeMaster Black Forest Ham
- 1 apple
- 1 pear
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
- Chop up apple and pear into bite-size pieces.
- Head coconut oil in skillet over medium-high heat and place apples and pear in skillet; add coconut sugar and cinnamon and cook until fruit is completely covered and softer, approximately 5 minutes.
- Add fruit to skewers, along with 1 piece of ham per skewer (I cut the ham in half and folded it a few times so it would fit).
- Sprinkle with additional cinnamon if you wish and enjoy!
