Yakitori is a Japanese skewered grilled chicken dish where the chicken is coated in a
tare sauce that is pretty much a teriyaki sauce consisting of mirin, sake, soy sauce and sugar. You will find yakitori on many Japanese restaurants menus but it is also easy enough to make at home. It is pretty much as simple as marinating the chicken in the sauce, skewering it and then grilling it up.
