These marinated New potatoes are a savory delight! Crispy on the outside, buttery and tender on the inside, and spiced to perfection, what more could you want? Serve these with green chutney as a yummy snack, side dish, or appetizer.
TANDOOR ALOO: MARINATED NEW POTATOES [VEGAN]
15 New potatoes
2 tablespoons non-dairy yogurt
1/2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon tandoori masala powder or garam masala
1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
Salt, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Wash New potatoes to remove dirt. Pressure cook with enough water for 1 whistle. Remove from the heat and drain the water completely. Use them whole or cut into two halves.
Combine all the above mentioned ingredients in a mixing bowl and marinate New potatoes with the prepared masala. Close it and keep aside for 1-2 hours.
Preheat oven at 355°F for 10 minutes in grill or broil mode. Line a baking tray with foil and grease with a little oil.
Place marinated New potatoes over foil sheet and grill for 10 minutes. Remove the tray from oven and give potatoes a stir. Grill again for 10 minutes. Serve.
