Easy French Patisserie Fruit Tarts


These tarts have deep reds, blues, and blacks from the berries that rest gracefully on top of the thick, creamy custard. All of these flavors are set in a simple crust that makes these tarts a great treat to break out for company.

EASY FRENCH PATISSERIE FRUIT TARTS [VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE]

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE CRUST:

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 4 tablespoons agave
  • Splash of water

FOR THE CUSTARD:

  • 3/4 cup vanilla unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons agave
  • 2 tablespoons tapioca starch (or cornstarch)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • Strawberries, blackberries, or fruit of choice
  • Liquid sweetener for glaze
