
If you love sandwiches, you have to try this version with nopal instead of bread.
The cactus provides fiber, minerals, iron, calcium and amino acids and is a product highlighted by the virtue of its cultivation, since in climates with drought problems this plant adapts and grows contributing to food. Enjoy this recipe with cactus, very simple to make and perfect for dinner or breakfast.
NOPAL SANDWICH WITH HAM AND CHEESE
Ingredients
1 Portion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder, for oil
- 1 teaspoon oregano, for oil
- to taste salt, for oil
- to taste black pepper, for oil
- 1/2 cups oil
- 2 nopales, for the sandwich
- 2 slices manchego cheese, for the sandwich
- 1/2 tomatoes, for the sandwich
- 3 slices Ham, for the sandwich
Preparation
In a bowl, mix the garlic powder, oregano, salt, pepper and oil until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Reservation.
Place the nopales on a board, varnish on one side and handle on a very hot grill pan. Place oil on the other side of the cactus and turn to roast.
On a piece of cactus, place two slices of cheese and on the other, place the tomato slices and ham. Cook for 5 minutes or until cheese melts; join both sides to form a sandwich. Serve with fruit and natural juice. Enjoy!
