This is a mushroom recipe for people who don't like mushrooms. The mushrooms are sliced thinly and then tossed in a bold, smokey mixture of spices and salt and then baked to crispy perfection. They work great as an addition to a salad, vegan mac and cheese, or pretty much anything you're planning eating!
THE BEST CRISPY MUSHROOMS [VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE]
INGREDIENTS
- 1 small container of mixed mushrooms, sliced thin
- Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of liquid aminos
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon of liquid smoke
- A pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt
- Freshly cracked pepper, to taste
PREPARATION
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and line your baking sheet with parchment.
- Place the sliced mushrooms in a bowl and add all of the ingredients.
- Toss them with olive oil so they are coated well.
- Pour them onto the baking sheet in an even layer and bake. Pop them in the oven and check on them around the 30-35 minute mark. Leave them in there until they are the desired crispiness. Let them cool before serving them.
