A mojito is a Cuban drink consisting of rum, mint, sugar, lime juice and club soda.
The lime juice gives it a tartness that the sugar or syrup balances out and the mint makes it super refreshing and when the glass is filled with ice it is a great drink for hot summer days.
A sweet, tart and minty lime drink that is always refreshing!
ingredients
- 4 mint leaves
- ice
- 1 ounce lime juice, about 1 lime
- 1 ounce white rum
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup *
- club soda
directions
- Place the mint leaves in the glass and muddle them to release their oils.
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Pour in the lime juice, rum and syrup and fill the glass with club soda.
