We’ve combined four of our favorite fruits for this smoothie – and it’s a yummy one!
The flavors are bright and sweet, and it’s full of fruity goodness. As far as nutrition goes, this smoothie offers up a bundle of antioxidants from vitamin C-rich oranges and strawberries, to potassium-loaded bananas, and anthrocyanin-packed blueberries. And don’t forget all the vitamin K and iron in the spinach! Serves 2INGREDIENTS
2 cups spinach, fresh 2 oranges, peeled and seeded 1/2 cup water 1 cup strawberries 1 cup blueberries 2 bananas
DIRECTIONS
1. Blend spinach, orange juice and water until smooth.
2. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again.
*Use frozen fruit to make smoothie cold. Feel free to use 3/4 cup water and 3/4 cup orange juice in place of the oranges and 1/2 cup water.
Tip: Thanks to the blueberries, this green smoothie is more like a purple smoothie, which is great for kids and those who are afraid of the “green” color.
