What could be better than combining the delicious flavor of strawberry margaritas with the fun of eating a popsicle? These popsicles are icy, fruity, and not too sweet (though you can add more agave if you like a sweeter version). Yum!
STRAWBERRY MARGARITA POPS [VEGAN]
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE POPSICLES:
- 1 1/2 cups strawberries
- 1/2 teaspoon lime zest
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons tequila
- 2 tablespoon agave
- 1 tablespoon triple sec
FOR THE GARNISH:
- Extra tequila (optional)
- Margarita salt (optional)
- Sugar (optional)
PREPARATION
- Add all the ingredients into the blender and purée until smooth. Pour the purée into the ice pop molds, insert the sticks and freeze until solid.
- To serve, fill a glass with warm to hot water and dip the popsicle into the water,not quite to the rim. Count 5-10 seconds, remove from the water and slip off the cover. Serve as is or with optional garnish: Dip the popsicle in a little tequila and sprinkle with a bit of margarita salt, or for a sweeter ice pop, dip and sprinkle with sugar.
